Dino Valley is a world full of dinosaurs, and you are one of them. Play alone, or with up to four players on one screen: the camera keeps everyone in view and zooms out as you spread apart.

Wild dinosaurs roam the meadows, jungles, swamps, deserts, beaches and sea. Feed one the food it eats until its hearts fill up, and it becomes a friend that anyone can play as. A time machine carries the whole team between four times in history, each with its own animals and plants, for 100 to find in all.

How You Play

  • On a phone or tablet, tap Player 1 and play with an on-screen stick and buttons.
  • With controllers, press any button to join. There is nothing to pair or set up, and friends can jump in at any time.
  • On a computer, two people can share the keyboard: one uses WASD and Space, the other the arrow keys and Enter.
  • Walk through bushes and ferns to shake food loose, catch fish in the shallows and pick up meat. A thought bubble shows what each dinosaur eats.
  • Every dinosaur has a power: big ones smash rocks, flying reptiles fly over water, sea reptiles swim, duck-billed dinosaurs honk to call others over, and small ones run fast.
  • Everyone climbs into the time machine to fly it around or travel to another era. It only works when the whole team is aboard.
  • Team hunts ask everyone to find one dinosaur together. Every third one found leaves an egg that hatches a new friend.

What Kids Learn

  • The names of 100 dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, read aloud whenever you meet, pick or befriend one.
  • One true fact about each, like Stegosaurus’s tail spikes or why Brachiosaurus could reach the treetops.
  • Which ones ate plants, meat or fish, because each only eats its own kind of food. Feed one the wrong thing and it says what it eats.
  • When they lived: the Permian before the dinosaurs, the first dinosaurs of the Triassic, the giants of the Jurassic, and the Cretaceous of Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus rex. There are no flowers until the Cretaceous, because flowers hadn’t appeared yet.
  • That pterosaurs, sea reptiles and animals like Dimetrodon lived alongside or before the dinosaurs but were not dinosaurs themselves.
